BIG Workday at Stocksdale!

Today's work day was a great success. Some photos of the guys/gals hard at work below:

John Harter sends us some info on this weekend's BIG Workday at Stocksdale:

Here is your chance to get in on the ground level of a new trail system. The Stocksdale/Walnut Woods Project is coming along nicely and we plan to have a big workday on February 16th. This will be spent mostly doing tread prep/ raking and cutting bench as most all the corridor is already cleared. One big day with a good turnout could be enough to complete the Walnut Woods first phase. We will start at 8:30 AM. Bring gloves, boots, water, snacks and layers of clothes. If you have tools, bring them, if not, no problem, he have lots of tools!

location map is here:

If you need more info, let me know.

Here is the official Stockdale Blog.

See you there,
John

Hi. I was wondering if someone could give me some contact info for Tige Lamb. There is a guy who lives in Lincoln who claims to be a "professional triathlete". He has many results from the 2007 season listed on his blog. One of his finishes claims to be the winner of the 2007 Iron Will race in which Tige won with a time of 1:34:40. This individual claims that he won that race with the exact same time as Tige's finish. All of his other "wins" can not be substantiated either. In fact, I can't find his name at all in the results for all the races he claims to have participated in. Plus he grossly exaggerates the field sizes to make his claimed finish place better than it actually is.

I have known about this for almost a year and have overlooked this for quite some time because he was new in town, but now he is soliciting the Lincoln cycling scene and trying to get local sponsorship. He claims to have been sponsored by Montague and Gu previously.

As a racer myself, I find this very disheartening. As a Lincolnite, I find this very embarrassing. I don't want other Lincoln racers to have their good name tarnished. Please contact me (you can find my info via my blog) at your earliest convenience.

Thanks.
