Kansas City Cross Series Begins

2008 De Stad Cyclocross Van Kansas Series presented by Paceline Products

The Kansas City cyclocross season opens this weekend with the Diamond Blackfan Cyclocross Challenge presented by Perceptive Software . "Our first event is a great opportunity to not only kick off the cyclocross season in style, but to also raise money and awareness for a much needed cause - The Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation," says series director Chris Locke

Our first event will also be a first for the City of Lenexa and will highlight what Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park has to offer. Co-race director Tige Lamb has designed a 1.8 mile course that offers, pavement, sand, steep run-ups, flowing corners and more fun than any one person can handle. Festivities begin at 9 a.m with registration opening and the coffee brewing. New for the 2008 season is the addition of the Category 4 (Beginner) Masters 35+/45+ classes. If you have ever thought about trying your hand at this crazy, exciting, friendly sport, this is a great class for it. Check out one of the other 13 classes offered at www.kansascitycross.com. There is a class for you!

With over $15,000 in cash and prizes to be awarded and custom series awards, the De Stad Cyclocross Van Kansas Series presented by Paceline Products will be the Midwest's premier cyclocross race series.
